The "Circle Craft" of Galas

Once a year the BC SPGA Awards Gala is held for outstanding service and contributions in our community.

Every year we hold an Awards Gala featuring outstanding contributions in our community. Participants are encouraged to dress casually and comfortably for an evening of celebration!

Animal guardians are welcome to bring their pets who will be warmly greeted and treated to healthy treats and goodies.

There will be Outstanding Service awards, Outstanding product awards and most of all lots of fun and exhibition tables by vendors providing pet supplies and animal services. The "Circle Craft" of Galas!

We welcome suggestions and actively seek event volunteers.

Below is a partial list of the Award categories:

Outstanding Awards

• Outstanding Award For Animal Care - Animal care par excellence
• Outstanding Service Award - Service that rose above the norm to help animals or/and guardians
• Outstanding Service Award (by an animal) - outstanding service by an animal
• Outstanding Award For Philanthropy - promoting the welfare of animals / animal causes
• Outstanding Animal Guardian Award - kindness, care and compassion of a special kind

Outstanding Product Awards (must be tested on at least three animal participants & we welcome short videos!)

• Outstanding Animal Toy Product (made for any animal) - any animal toy made in any country. This category is expanded to animals such as for Outstanding Animal Toy Product (birds), Outstanding Animal Toy Product (dogs), Outstanding Animal Toy Product (cats), Outstanding Animal Toy Product (gerbils)... aquarium fish, pigs, goats, horses etc
• Outstanding Animal Product - any product made in British Columbia

Taste Tells Awards

• Best Tasting Animal Food Award - made in any country. This category is expanded to animals such as for Best Tasting Animal Food Award (birds), Best Tasting Animal Food Award (dogs), Best Tasting Animal Food Award (cats), Best Tasting Animal Food Award (gerbils)... aquarium fish, pigs, goats, horses etc
• Best Tasting Treats Award - made in any country. This category is expanded to animals such as for Best Tasting Treats Award (birds), Best Tasting Treats Award (dogs), Best Tasting Treats Award (cats), gerbils, hamsters, aquarium fish, pigs, goats, horses etc

Photography Awards

• Animal Photography Award - best animal photography in British Columbia
• Funniest Animal Photo Award - Photographs that catch animals in those funny moments.(BC)

Business

• Outstanding Business Award - a business award for outstanding service to animals or guardians
• Outstanding Veterinary Practice Award - Veterinary practice that helps animals and the animal community in some special way (fundraising, services, etc)

Special Awards

• Youth Crusader Award - a youth award for excellence in relation to animals, causes, increasing awareness.
• Animal Cause Award - best animal cause award that helps guardians and animals
• Volunteer Service Award - outstanding service to help animals or guardians with pets
